Creating your vision statement is the single most important step that you will take in the building of your enterprise. It will become the seat of your power by which you transform your thoughts into material form. Here is a process that can empower you to move mountains.
Suspend for the moment all disbelief, all reservation, and all skepticism. Accept for the moment this metaphysical truth: “All the resources of the Universe speed to the aid of those with clarity of purpose.” Then ask yourself these questions:
What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?
What’s the perfect end result?
If they inscribed your vision statement on your tombstone, would you be pleased? If not, why not?
What needs to be improved? (i.e. shortened, refocused, simplified, less is more, less technical - more inspirational, more dynamic, eliminate any “how’s” and imagine yourself looking back on “WHAT” you did.)
Imagine yourself as President John F. Kennedy. It’s 1961 and you’re setting out to mobilize all of America’s resources to come from behind and win the space race. What would be your vision statement? His was:
“Put a man on the Moon and return him safely to Earth by the end of the decade.”
What do you think? What do you feel? Does JFK’s vision statement rise to the challenge?
Now imagine you are you. And, you are about to embark on your life mission.
Now imagine you are about to experience a defining moment in your own life where you depart from the world of the normal and enter the world of the extraordinary.
Imagine that you’re on the road to greatness discovering the master theme of your life for which you and you alone are uniquely qualified, for which you alone are the keeper and guardian of the vision.
This is the frame in which you will create your vision statement which will focus all of the energy or the universe toward the manifestation of your vision.
